A premier Warehousing Agency in India, established during 1957 providing logistics support to the agricultural sector, is one of the biggest public warehouse operators in the country offering logistics services to a diverse group of clients. CWC is operating 475 Warehouses across the country with a storage capacity of 10.3 million tonnes providing warehousing services for a wide range of products ranging from agricultural produce to sophisticated industrial products.

Warehousing activities of CWC include food grain warehouses, industrial warehousing, custom bonded warehouses, container freight stations, inland clearance depots and air cargo complexes. Apart from storage and handling, CWC also offers services in the area of clearing & forwarding, handling & transportation, procurement & distribution, dis-infestation services, fumigation services and other ancillary activities.

CWC also offers consultancy services/ training for the construction of warehousing infrastructure to different agencies.

Central Warehousing Corporation, Navi Mumbai Region came into being in the year 1989 for taking up the work of managing and operating the Container Freight Station at Jawaharlal Nehru Port on the invitation of JNPT and managed JNPT’s CFS as well as Buffer container yard till December, 2005. With the increase in the volume of business, Central Warehouse, Kalamboli was converted as a Container Freight Station and added to this Region. To meet further demand of the trade CFS, Dronagiri Node was started during December’1993 followed by CFS-Impex Park, CFS-Distripark and CFS-Logistics Park.
